2017 Richmond Cinco de Mayo Festival

Richmond residents, visitors from around the Bay Area, public safety personnel, and business partners descended on 23rd St. in Richmond for the City's annual Cinco De Mayo parade and festival. The weekend of festivities started with the Cinco De Mayo parade on 23rd St. on Saturday. On Sunday, thousands of visitors descended on 23rd St. in Richmond to enjoy food, shopping at vendors' stations and various forms of entertainment. There were at least three stages for musicians and dancers, and mechanical bulls to ride RPD officers provided security at the event, and showed off some of the department's assets. The Mobile Command Center (MCC), police motorcycles, a police Camaro and the Park Ranger utility vehicle were on full display. Photo opportunities were enjoyed by all, with some free gifts with the spin of a wheel. Here are just some of the photographs captured during the event. Enjoy!
