I picked this up at "Happy Harold's" Discount Records in Toronto.(1970?) The title did it for me. When I got home & heard it I was blown away! It's hard to believe that it's written & produced by the same guy who wrote & produced "Silhouettes","Sherry", "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" & "Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You". Bob Crewe was one truly unheralded songwriter-producer. He also produced hits for "Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels" & "Freddy Cannon". But it's the success of "Jersey Boys" that has finally given him his due. About time! This tune was released in 1958 (the year after "Silhouettes" reached #1) as the "B" side of "Souvenirs Of Summertime". It tanked. Pity...... The RAYS were: Harold Miller - lead vocals, Walter Ford -1st tenor, David Jones - 2nd tenor, Harry James - baritone. Remember folks - this was before Multi-Track Recording.......... It Was Recorded "LIVE" off the floor, no-overdubs!
