Lara Fabian - Adagio (TMC Anthem Mix)

Lara Fabian, who is half Italian, has a sublime voice and pours tremendous feeling into whatever she sings. Adagio is no exception. I love this song in English, and it's equally riveting in Italian. When we think of big vocals we often reference Mariah, Celine, Whitney... but vocally Lara Fabian is up there. When this song came out in 1999 it bothered me that no remixes had been commissioned for it. Hex Hector, Thunderpuss, Victor Calderone, Tony Moran... any of them would have brought the drama and done a fantastic job with it. Ultimately I get it, as it's not your typical verse-chorus pop ballad. It really keeps building, all the way up to that glorious dramatic climax at the end with that haunting big belt. My mix stays true to the original chords and structure. I really wanted to keep the integrity of the song alive while transforming it into a 128 BPM club track. Did I do it justice?
