City Tour of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife's Historical City | 4K Travel Vlog

San Cristóbal de La Laguna is the second largest city in Tenerife and the third largest city in the Canary Islands. The centre of San Cristóbal de La Laguna is a UNESCO World Heritage Site also known as the historical city centre. It was in fact the ancient capital of the Canary Islands. Wandering around the streets of San Cristóbal de La Laguna is a beautiful, relaxing experience. Restaurants and small shops are in abundance, each one filled with tantalising food and curios. The architecture of the buildings was very impressive, especially La Laguna Cathedral. La Laguna Cathedral is a Roman Catholic Church which took 11 years to build. It was completed in 1915. It's free to admire La Laguna Cathedral from the outside but if you want to take a peek at its interior, there's a €5 fee per person. If you think this is a little expensive, it does come with a handset which talks you through each section of the Cathedral so you are essentially getting a tour. Driving through this scenic area was awe-inspiring, filled with traditional villages and beautiful natural surroundings. We found ourselves on a beautiful stretch of coastline, home to Taganana village which name means 'surrounded by mountains'.
