Early morning at Adelaide International Airport. The airport is just coming to life as we arrive for this early morning flight over to Port Lincoln. As the light comes up I am able to get some great plane spotting footage at the beautiful airport. We are flying a 27 year old SAAB 340 which is a very cool aircraft. This short flight over the two gulfs from Adelaide is about a 50 minute flight. Port Lincoln Airport is an airport serving Port Lincoln, a city in the Australian state of South Australia. It is located 7 nautical miles north of Port Lincoln, at North Shields. The airport is owned and operated by the District Council of Lower Eyre Peninsula. The Saab 340 is a Swedish twin-engine turboprop aircraft designed and initially produced by Saab AB and Fairchild Aircraft. It is designed to seat 30-36 passengers and, as of July 2018, there were 240 operational aircraft used by 34 different operators.
