HOW TO HIKE TO GERGETI TRINITY CHURCH - from Stepatsminda (Kazbegi) in Georgia. An easy day hike from the town of Stepantsminda up to the impressive Gergeti trinity church, high up the hill overlooking the town. One of Georgia's classic landmark sights! It normally takes about 2 hours to hike to the church and an hour back down. We made a day of it and continued up further on the trail towards Mt Kazbegi. There is a viewpoint over the glacier and the mountain that makes for a pleasant picnic spot and a great day out. Another great day out in Georgia that will cost next to nothing!
