Speaking in his final media appearance as Unrwa commissioner general on The David Hearst Podcast, Philippe Lazzarini says the occupied West Bank is currently witnessing a “de facto annexation” by Israel. “Kind of a silent war has unfolded under our eyes. Settlements have accelerated. Settler violence has gone totally unleashed, with total impunity. There have been extensive displacement of Palestinians, the largest since 1967,” he added.
