Nine Inch Nails "The Hand That Feeds" official music video, 2005. Directed by Rob Sheridan and Trent Reznor. This video was originally made in standard definition, and is purposefully lo-fi in nature, utilizing and exploiting the limitations of 2000s digital video technology to create a glitch aesthetic complementary to my artwork for the "With Teeth" album. So it might seem an odd candidate for a 4K upscale, but while I was working on my new director's reel (    • Rob Sheridan: Creative Director Reel 2025   ) I found that upscaling older material helped it sit alongside newer work. The purpose of this unofficial upscale is to make the pixel resolution feel native to modern screens, while preserving the lo-fi SD video look. I am sharing the result here purely academically. There is no real way to "faithfully" watch this video on a modern screen; you'd have to use a CRT TV or an old LCD monitor (I can help with that - see:    • Nine Inch Nails "The Hand That Feeds" musi...   ), so this is an alternative to the default of YouTube scaling up a 480p version (which introduces its own artifacts and pixelizations).
