Germany: Two clips showing DB Class 102 electric locos at Allersberg (Rothsee) on the Nuremberg - Munich high-speed railway. Both clips recorded 30th April 2023. Clip 1 - DB Class 102 003 is seen hauling train RE4019, the 1108 Nurnberg Hbf to Munchen Hbf into Allersberg (Rothsee). Clip 2 (1:08) - DB Class 102 005 is seen banking train RE4012, the 1104 Ingolstadt Hbf to Nurnberg Hbf into Allersberg (Rothsee). The Ε koda 109E locomotive (also marketed as Emil ZΓ‘topek locomotive) was originally conceived in 2004 and designed for operation in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia as well as the Czech Republic.[citation needed] The 109E Ε koda has a top speed of 200 km/h and is compatible with both AC and DC catenaries, meeting the basic characteristics of a modern multisystem locomotive. In June 2013 Skoda Transportation announced that it won a tender for 6 Pushβpull trainsets for DB Regio including 6 109Es designated as DB Class 102. The tender included a requirement for 190 km/h (118 mph) speed, as the trainsets will be used on the NurembergβMunich high-speed railway. Trainsets were expected to be delivered in 2016. But the vehicles were not authorized by EBA authority until 2019, yet with restrictions. DB Regio refused to accept the trains due to poor reliability, with the fleet finally beginning entry to service on the 12th October 2020, some four years late. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Allersberg is a municipality in the district of Roth, in Bavaria, Germany. Roth is a Landkreis (district) in Middle Franconia, Bavaria, Germany. It is bounded by (from the northeast and clockwise) the districts of NΓΌrnberger Land, Neumarkt, EichstΓ€tt, WeiΓenburg-Gunzenhausen, Ansbach and FΓΌrth, and the cities of Schwabach and NΓΌrnberg. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ The NurembergβMunich high-speed railway line is a 171-kilometre-long (106 mi) high-speed railway running between the two largest cities in Bavaria, Germany: Nuremberg and Munich. The northern section, between Nuremberg and Ingolstadt, is a 300 km/h (186 mph) track built between 1998 and 2006. It is 90.1 km (56.0 mi) in length with nine tunnels (total length: 27 km or 17 mi). In order to minimize damage to the environment, it runs for the most part right next to Bundesautobahn 9. The southern section, between Ingolstadt and Munich, is 19th-century track. Its southern section has been upgraded for up to 200 km/h (124 mph). -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ The Deutsche Bahn AG is the national railway company of Germany, and a state-owned enterprise under the control of the German government. Headquartered in the Bahntower in Berlin, it is a joint-stock company (AG). Deutsche Bahn describes itself as the second-largest transport company in the world, after the German postal and logistics company Deutsche Post / DHL, and is the largest railway operator and infrastructure owner in Europe. Deutsche Bahn was the largest railway company in the world by revenue in 2015; in 2019, DB Passenger transport companies carried around 4.8 billion passengers, and DB logistics companies transported approximately 232 million tons of goods in rail freight transport. The group is divided into several companies, including DB Fernverkehr (long-distance passenger), DB Regio (local passenger services) and DB Cargo (rail freight). The Group subsidiary DB Netz also operates large parts of the German railway infrastructure, making it the largest rail network in Europe. The company generates about half of its total revenue from operating rail transport, with other half of the business comprising the further transport and logistics businesses, as well as various service providers. The company generates part of its revenue through public transport contracts and support services for infrastructure maintenance and expansion. -+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ @FrontCompVids - Follow us on Twitter!
