With the arrest of five robbers

On 24.06.2022, complainant Gagan Sharma stated that he is a registered distributor of “SPAY India Technology Pvt. Ltd. Company” in the name of Sharma Communication. He does work of collecting payment form retailers and further deposit the collected amount in the account of “SPAY India Technology Pvt. Ltd. Company”. On 24.06.2022, at about 4.45 PM, after collecting the money from the retailer, he reached outside of his house. At the same time, two boys walking on foot came from behind, showed him a pistol and robbed the bag containing Rs. 21,88,500/- from his hand and fled from the spot on a bike, already parked there on which a boy was sitting. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 417/22, U/s 392/397/34 IPC was registered at PS Patel Nagar, Delhi. TEAM: Keeping in view the sensitivity of the incident of day light robbery which created fear among locals & business persons and breaches the tranquility of peace, undersigned constituted a joint team of AATS and Special Staff led by SI Sandeep Godara I/C AATS comprising SI Ravi Shankar Tyagi, SI Neeraj Chaudhary, ASI Kanwar Pal, ASI Vinod, ASI Lukman, ASI Rakesh, ASI Parveen, ASI Yogender, ASI Kanhaiya, ASI Ritu Raj, ASI Yogender Giri, ASI Ajay, ASI Umed Singh, HC Parveen, HC Atul , HC Shekhar , HC Dalbir, HC Sandeep, HC Sunil, HC Amit, HC Pankaj, HC Dheeraj and HC Adesh and they were tasked to work out the case under the supervision of ACP/OPS. Shri Yogesh Malhotra. OPERATION AND INTERROGATION: The team started working on the case and collected the footage of nearby CCTV cameras. It was found that the robbers present on the spot were 3 in number and they used a red colour bike to commit the crime. The team worked relentlessly to identify the criminals by analysing their modus operandi and area of operation. It was observed that the criminals target the citizens/businessmen who used to collect the payment from retailer shops of money transfer as these shops usually have huge cash flow. The team checked CCTV footage of escape route and arrival route and over 300 Cameras from Patel Nagar to Punjabi Bagh were analysed. It was known that the Robbers committed the robbery on a stolen bike not bearing any registration number plate. The robbers after committing the robbery left the bike in a parking and further boarded on an auto and deboarded at Punjabi Bagh. Thereafter, they took an E Rickshaw to reach Kashmiri Gate, further, they changed the E Richshaw and again took an auto to reach their destination in Loni, Ghaziabad. They changed the vehicles so as to avoid the detection of their escape route by police. After the Robbery incident of Patel Nagar, the team worked hard for six days, examined all CCTV footages from Patel Nagar to Burari covering the distance of 17 Km. The traps were laid over all day & night to intercept the bike, accessory to crime but could not trace them. Hundreds of CDR’s and dump data of these areas were analysed thoroughly, all the previous and present employees and retailer shop keepers were examined but all in vain. Later, an information was received by the team that these robberies were being committed by a murderer who has recently came out of jail after spending 12 years in jail. All the data of the said criminal was obtained from jail and it was scrutinized by the team. After long and hectic days of hardwork, the team got success in identifying one of the assailants as Suraj Thakur r/o Moti Nagar, murder accused in a case of PS Bawana who has recently came out from jail. Further after the identification of accused persons, their associates were also identified through technical surveillance. The team was sent to Nainital, Rudrapur and Haridwar to nab the co-accused persons but the accused persons managed to escape from there and enroute for Delhi. After a long chase of 1000 Km., two of them i.e. Rajender and Badal were apprehended in Delhi from Rajghat. Further, on their disclosure three more accused were arrested from Moti Nagar, Palwal and Sunlight Colony. On 31.05.2022, they had also carried out a robbery at the Gun point which took place in the area of Burari police station. They robbed 40 thousand rupees from a shopkeeper Mohd, Asif Mumtaz who runs a shop of money transfer. They also robbed his mobile phone. In this regard, a case has also been registered vide FIR No. 490/22, dated 01.06.2022, U/s 392/34 IPC, PS Burari, Delhi. Both the robberies were done in the same way and on the same stolen bike i.e. Red Color Passion. An E Richkshaw driver who is the informer of these criminals in this case is still on run, efforts are being made to trace him. RECOVERY: 1. Rs. 5.10 lakh 2. Stolen bike used in crime. 3.
