They dreamed of buying a bicycle or, in the best case, a motorcycle. But first a milking cow to feed their children. But lo and behold, (Western) Germany offered a decent life to every worker so they bought a Mercedes and returned home with it. It was hard to reach home back then, we had no decent roads, all our roads were unpaved, I personally remember a time when not a single road in Imotski was paved. But then, in a cloud of dust, Mercedes came to our homes with our returning fathers or grandfathers. And it is still here. They are gone, but Mercedes remained.” 12. To suggest to our young, to our children, to follow our example and buy cars that will serve them well. A car that serves you forever is never too expensive.” 14. Vintage Mercedes bus 15.
