Designed as an offshore racer and bluewater cruiser, this Cheoy Lee Lion (Ship No 715) was solidly built in Hong Kong with teak planks on ipol frames fastened with copper rivets. Surveys have found that the plank seams are remarkably tight, the hull shape is true and continues to be free of rot (thanks to being old growth teak). Ready to cast off for coastal cruising this summer! Simple systems for reliability and minimal maintenance. Yanmar 3GM30f runs well. A range of sails for all conditions in good shape. Structurally sound with major restoration work completed by previous owners and minor finishing touches ongoing. Best suited to those up for a bit of brightwork, and woodwork as well to continue finishing the interior. Being a special old wooden boat, our priority is finding the right people that will leave Dandelion in better shape than they found her, and eventually pass her along to other fine folks so she might continue sailing for another 60 years.
