We show you exactly how to make a Minecraft server from downloading the server files to setting up your Minecraft server, this video covers it all, so let’s get started! First things first, we will need to get server.jar file for Minecraft. You can Google “Minecraft Server Download” or you can go to the link in the description above and click “Download Minecraft”. On the download page for the server.jar, click the minecraft_server.jar link, and the file will begin downloading. You may need to keep or save your file depending on your browser. Next, create a “Minecraft Server” folder on your desktop. Then, move the server.jar file you downloaded into this folder. Double-click the server.jar folder, and your server will try to start. You should have an eula.txt file appear. If not, you need to get Java and run the Jarfix from the description above. Open the eula.txt file and change “eula=false” to “eula=true” assuming you agree to the Minecraft EULA. Save the eula.txt, and double-click the server.jar file. Your Minecraft server will now start! You can join your server with the IP address “localhost”. This will allow you to join your server and test if things are working on the server. You are the only person who can join your server using this IP address. For your friends to join, you will need to port forward the port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocols.
