A daughter asks her father to tell a story. Father asks her what story she wants. Whether she wants a story of forest, a queen, or a story of oceans or clouds. Daughter hands over a book to her father and says she needs to hear a story from that particular book. That book happens to be the book of "Shivapuraana". Father says that any story from this book will be lengthy. But the daughter insists that she needs a story from that book only. Then the father asks her to open a random page from that book and give it to him. Whatever story comes in that page will be narrated by him to his daughter. Daughter flips pages and opens a random page. It happens to be the story of Lord Shiva and Maa Sati, "Sati skanda". The father says that, this story takes place in a world that is far far away.. the world which is called "Kailaasa". Daughter, after knowing the story happens on Kailaasa, the abode of lord shiva, becomes very excited to hear the same and she is curious to know the name of the story. Father then says.. This is a story of Faith.. This is a story of Devotion.. This is story of God himself. and then the title of the story is shown... "This is.. Shiva and Sati's story.."
