We spent five days in Dambulla, so we decided to share our experience with you. This is the 2nd Day of our Dambulla Tour. In this video we covered the Sigiriya Village tour. This gives you to the traditional aspects of Sri Lanka village life with all its authenticity. You will get the opportunity to spend time with locals and take part in numerous village activities that structure regular day to day life in a village, for example, a bullock cart ride, a catamaran ride and a stroll through the paddy fields. You can figure out traditional Sri Lankan lifestyles, their culture and their hospitality. Village tour starts with bull cart ride. Bull cart ride is fun but you have to hold tight the cart because ride was a shaking ride. After a joy bull cart ride you need to walk 200 meters along the village to get the next experience, the boat ride. You need to cross this tank to visit the village and get the lunch. Before that they will give you boat ride experience. After the boat ride you will visit to the village. You will be warmly welcomed by the villagers. There is ample opportunity to experience conventional rice fields, vegetable farming, cultivation of native yams and other crops, poultry keeping, bee keeping and much more. There some Sri Lankan village ladies will show you how to prepare traditional Sri Lankan meal. You also can contribute and get the experience how to cook hot and spicy Sri Lankan meals. Then you will get a chance to taste Sri Lankan foods and lunch. After you get the experience of a Sri Lankan village you need to cross the tank and come back from bull cart ride. This one of a kind experience will also take when you are travelling in Dambulla, where you can witness and experienced true Sri Lankan hospitality immersed with warmth and genuine smiles. After the village tour we had few hours to ride bicycles and enjoy the environment. But in dry season after 6 pm you should not roam outside because of wild elephants come out from the jungle searching for food and water. So stay safe inside your hotel or residence.
