WERE YOU THERE??? DO YOU RECOGNISE YOURSELF??? One wonders where the man who kept singing out for Jade to sing "OLD SHEP" is these days??? This is "Australia's King of Country Rock" and Piano Man, JADE HURLEY at the GYMPIE MUSTER in it's third year [1984]. In the early years of the Muster, it was held on 25 hectares of beautiful creek flats at Thornside - the talented Webb Brothers' property at Widgee, 32km west of Gympie. The Country Music Muster moved in 1985 from its birthplace at the Webb Brothers' Widgee property, to the Amamoor Creek State Forest Park where it continues to this day ... sadly, the "country music" theme has changed and it is now known as the GYMPIE MUSIC MUSTER.
