Very Rare, Very Active Bay Area Thunderstorm With Actual Rain in August | Just Another 2020 Surprise

For all you weather watchers our there, the San Francisco Bay Area doesn't often get weather like this. Sure rain usually comes in the fall and winter, but usually sans thunder and lightning. Thunderstorms do strike the Bay Area occasionally though. Watch as this rare very active thunderstorm rolls through the San Francisco Bay Area early Sunday morning making the already odd heatwave feel a lot more like Florida. Karl the fog is apparently on vacation and letting these crazy storms blow into the once Golden State. This storm didn't just spark dry lightning. There were actual raindrops falling from the sky. We definitely need the rain here. The streets can use a good washing but the San Francisco Bay really doesn't need more pollution flowing into its waters. Especially after the East Bay MUD raw sewage spill into the Oakland estuary due to the PGE power outage.
