Wolf Power WP1500 LR Generator. 3HP 4-Stroke Petrol Engine. Got this last week, but just tested it for the first time today and on camera. The air cleaner is dripping oil, had trouble starting it up but that was due to the poor instruction manual supplied, the same manual is for all models of their generators which is stupid as the big ones are much different from this smaller one, the fuel switch was labelled the wrong way round in the manual. So I actually had it set to off when starting up the engine, and it was just running on what was left in the carburettor then stopping. There are two bolts and nuts which hold on the Alternator to the frame, well I noticed one of the bolts and the nut had both came out after I started it up! someone didn't bother to tighten it up at the factory properly. And I had to lay the Generator on it's side to tighten up the bolt and nut again, I think maybe when I was doing this, the oil was leaking into the air cleaner because now it's dripping and made a puddle. Another flaw in the manual, they don't give you the measurement of oil to fill the tank, just a silly little picture diagram. Would have made more sense to say 'fill with 0.5 L of oil' or whatever the correct oil level actually is. I am guessing it's around 500 or 600ml (0.5L) But the Generator is ok, works fine, is quite loud though, I thought it would run more quieter. As the manual says 68dBA at 7M. The oil dripping is really pissing me off though, I am going to have to open the air cleaner tomorrow and have a look.
