初めましてめしぬきです。 Nice to meet you, this is MESHINUKI 今回は、2026年2月1日に開催される「第63回愛媛マラソン」のコース下見に行ってきました！ ​1961年に産声を上げたこの大会も、今年で63回目。 コロナ禍による2度の中止を乗り越え、今年も無事に開催の日を迎えられることを嬉しく思います。 ​愛媛マラソンのコースといえば、今も語り継がれる「伝説の記録」があります。 2017年の第55回大会。当時「最強の市民ランナー」として知られた川内優輝選手が叩き出した、2時間09分54秒という驚異的な大会レコードです。 地方の市民マラソン、しかも独走状態で10分を切るという快挙は、当時の沿道や陸上関係者に大きな衝撃を与えました。 ​そんな歴史ある公認42.195kmコースを、今回は大会本番で実際に走る私が、自転車で一周しながら詳しくチェックしていきます。 ​アップダウンや景色など、ランナー目線で気になるポイントをまとめていますので、出場される方の参考になれば幸いです！ This time, I went to check out the course for the 63rd Ehime Marathon, which will be held on February 1st, 2026! First held in 1961, this year marks the 63rd anniversary of the race. Having overcome two cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I'm delighted that it will be held safely again this year. Speaking of the Ehime Marathon course, there's a legendary record that's still talked about today. The 55th race was held in 2017. Yuki Kawauchi, known at the time as the "strongest citizen runner," set an astonishing course record of 2 hours, 9 minutes, and 54 seconds. His achievement of breaking the 10-minute mark in a local citizen marathon, especially while running alone, sent shock waves through the roadside and athletics officials at the time. Today, I'll be taking a closer look at this historic, official 42.195km course as I cycle around it, as I'll actually be riding in the actual race.
