Puso Village, located beside the historic Compañía Maritima building in Cebu City’s Carbon District, officially opened to the public last July 17, 2025, with a grand launch planned for September 2025. 📍 Overview • Location: Right next to Compañía Maritima, across from Senior Citizens Park, with waterfront views of Mactan Channel and the Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX). • Concept & Purpose: A modern food and retail hub inspired by Cebu’s famoso puso (hanging rice), part of the Carbon Market modernization project in partnership with Cebu2World (C2W) and Cebu City Government. 🛍️ Features & Offerings • Retail Layout: Houses around 334 retail spaces, including about 138 food and beverage stalls, plus ready-to-wear shops, art stores, gadgets, and gifting stalls. • Themes & Zones: Divided into seven themed stations, such as “Dalang Sinugba” for grilled dishes, “Litson Avenue” for lechon from Carcar and Talisay, seafood, desserts, and more. • Signature Nest Architecture: Open-air design featuring canopy roofs shaped like puso, with mezzanine seating and a scenic waterfront view. 🗓️ Timeline Highlights • Construction & Delays: Initially slated for late 2022, the project faced legal setbacks due to ownership disputes with Cebu Port Authority (CPA), causing multiple delays. • Soft Opening: July 17 – 18, 2025, marked the soft launch after resolution of the dispute and issuance of the occupancy permit. • Grand Launch: The Official grand opening is scheduled for September 2025. ℹ️ What Is Puso?
