Recent changes in the IRC rating rules b now allow the use of water ballast systems, providing a significant performance advantage. Diverse Performance Systems has installed ca. 10 ballast systems for IRC raceboats, demonstrating benefits for boat sizes ranging from 40ft to 100ft. The advanced system, powered by hydraulic or electric pumps and controlled pneumatically, enables rapid filling and transferring of water, enhancing maneuverability during races.
