Euro-Peds helped make two of Matthew's defining moments of major mobility happen - using a walker without assistance at age 10 and now using crutches for walking at age 20. "Never give up on your kid... because my kid is an adult, and he's still learning amazing things," says Jill McQuaid - Matthew's mom. Without Euro-Peds, I don't think he'd be anywhere near as capable and confident because of all the "tricks" Euro-Peds has taught him." Many young adults and children with different neuro-muscular disorders throughout the U.S. and beyond come to Euro-Peds for treatment just like Matthew of Ohio. Located in Pontiac, Michigan, we are North America’s first intensive pediatric physical therapy center (est. 1999). Using European inspired therapies, including the Universal Exercise Unit and patented suit therapy, therapists work one-on-one with patients who have cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, spina bifida and a variety of other gross motor disorders to optimize motor training and significantly improve motor skills. Sessions range from 1.5 - 4 hours for up to 5 days per week over several weeks. Local patients often visit 2 - 3 times per week over several months. Each patient benefits from a team of PTs, PTAs and aides to keep sessions fun. Follow up home exercise programs with photos, video and directions also are part of each session.
