Made my own rendition that is ideal for picky eaters.It is best served as a appetizer,breakfast or merienda,Healthy and Yummy!From my kitchen to yours will surely look forward to this recipe.Everyone would love this👌 RELLENONG SABA Yield:12 servings INGREDIENTS: 2 230g can #HuntsPorkandBeans,drained,reserve sauce for dippings 1 medium carrots,chopped finely 1 medium red onion,minced 3 cloves garlic,minced 1 red bell pepper,chopped finely 1/2 cup flour 1 Large egg,slightly beaten 12 pcs Saba,firm but not too ripe 3/4 tsp salt 1/8 tsp ground blackpepper 2 cups oil for frying FOR BATTER: 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup water pinch of salt PROCEDURE: 1.In a mixing bowl mix together Hunt's Pork and Beans,onion,garlic,carrots,bell pepper,egg,flour,salt and ground black pepper.Blend well.Set aside. 2.In another bowl,mix together flour, water and salt.Stir but do not over mix. 3.Peel the saba and cut a slit in the middle.Stuff with the veggies mixture and dip with the batter. 4.Fry in a heated oil for 5 minutes until golden brown.Drain in a paper towel. 5.Serve with the reserved Hunt's Pork and Beans sauce for dippings.Enjoy! TIPS: *Use not too ripe Saba,it will not absorb too much oil when cooked. *Use your preferred kinds of ground meats like pork,chicken,beef or seafoods.
