Need a laugh? Then it's time for some rehearsal bloopers! The level of precision required to pull off Lord of the Dance requires insane amounts of drilling. Hours piled atop hours, for weeks or months on end. But when Team Lord readied itself for the Impossible Tour in Taiwan, they had only three days of group rehearsal -- the third day doubling as the show's opening night. Compounding the matter, the show hadn't toured in nine months because of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the 90-strong troupe was more than fifty-percent new. You've seen the finished product: the amazing performance videos where Lord of the Dance rose to the occasion and delivered a stunning performance in a 15,000-seat stadium. But what you didn't see -- until now -- were the bloopers that happened along the way. Sure, we could pretend these outtakes don't exist and present some squeaky-clean image of everything going perfectly, but where's the fun in that? We're often asked what the most difficult part of the show is. The answer might surprise you: it's Victory March. Never mind the insanely complicated Irish dance steps with twisty ankles and multiple beats per second while actual explosions are going off: literally just walking is the most difficult part of the show. This story, and more, are now revealed. And from this video one thing should become very clear: for the top fraction of one percent of all the Irish dancers on the planet who qualify for the world's most successful dance show, touring life is a lot of fun. Team Lord works hard -- and plays harder. Tickets on sale now to the 2022 tour of our new show, 25 YEARS OF STANDING OVATIONS. Don't worry, we'll have figured out how to walk by opening night.
