Il Beato Matteo Carreri - Protettore della citt à di Vigevano - San Pietro Martire

It was a rainy evening when I arrived in Vigevano, and I was hungry, so my host's son gave me directions to where I could park near the old city and find something to eat. I went there and found a place to buy a pizza margherita and then I walked through to the Piazza Ducale, said to be the most beautiful in all of Italy, I continued along the old streets at the other end and came to a church, San Pietro Martire, with its windows decorated with blue LED lights. It was packed with people, with standing room only. I decided that I wanted some photos of the piazza and the church, and so I ran back to my car to get my cameras. When I got back to the church, people were coming out and I could hear this stirring organ music. So I went inside, where many people were still talking and milling about, and recorded three video clips, which I combined with Windows Movie Maker. The service was to honour Il Beato Matteo Carreri, the protector of the city of Vigevano.
