Welcome to OutTheSaddle! Here is my cycling vlog documenting the 135 mile ride from the east to west coast of the UK in July 2020. Things learned: 1. There is a reason the well publicised C2C route goes eastwards rather than westwards - the prevailing wind direction. 2. Jacket Potatoes, Cheese and Beans sort you right out. 3. A team car at the back end of a huge ride will certainly improve chances of success. 4. If you are following cycle paths, know where the gravel sections are. 5. The north pennines climbs aren't steep, but they make up for that with duration. 6. Take a spare battery for electrical equipment when you're planning a sadistic day in the saddle.
