Airbrushing with HD Stencils on a Harley Davidson Fairing - professional airbrushing tutorial

In this video, I used a size 4 custom HD Stencil from https://www.hdstencils.com/ to trace the subject onto the side of the Harley Davidson fairing. For my art lessons on painting realism, visit https://www.paintrealism.com By using a stencil to transfer the image onto the panel I was able to get right to airbrushing - skipping hours worth of mapping out by making hand-cut stencils or drawing the outline with graphite paper. This motorcycle fairing will have another airbrush mural on the other side and any technique or product that helps me save time - I will go ahead and use it! The actual time for airbrushing was ~10 hours but there is a lot left to do on it. To prepare the surface so that I was able to use paint removal techniques... I sanded the fairing Painted the areas with Wicked Opaque white ( with a small amount of orange) Then finally, I clear coated the panel with SSR matte. The advantage of using the SSR clear is that is very resistant to scratches ( you won't cut through it) and you can really "beat " it because is so durable. Those steps are not always necessary for airbrushing but I did it that way because the artwork that I had to do was very detailed and had a lot of texture. The airbrush artwork is based on old west scenes and bandits from the awesome game of Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2! Basically, an outlaw themed bike.
