End of Year Video at Rainbow Hub

This year started with huge change. The children who were used to the familiar surroundings of Rainbow Hub had to adapt to a new building, a different routine and in some cases new faces leading sessions. However, one of the many things we strive to teach within Conductive Education is the ability to cope in new environments. We could not be prouder of the children; every session has celebrated so many wonderful achievements that simply cannot be measured by anything other than the joy they bring. So, with immense pride, we thought we would share a few of those incredible skills celebrated this year! ❤️🌈 🩷13 children have developed head control 💙5 children have learned to reach out for toys/ objects 💚13 children who have had difficulties opening their hands have now learned to grasp. 🤍7 children have learned to roll 💛9 children have learned to play nicely ❤️11 children have learned to dress and undress themselves 💜11 children have learned to use a toothbrush 🩵8 children have learned to four point kneel 🤎5 children have learned to stand up off the floor independently 🖤3 children have learned to sit cross legged 💙8 children have learned to sit on a box / bench independently 💜7 children have learned to sit to stand supported 💚5 children have learned to sit to stand unsupported 💛6 children have learned to stand standing supported 🩶9 children have stood independently 🧡8 children have begun taking supported steps with a ladder 🩷10 children have started to take supported steps with a rollator 🤍10 children started to take supported steps with tripod sticks ❤️3 children started to take supported steps with the ropes 🤎4 children started taking unsupported steps with a rollator 💙2 children have taken unsupported steps with tripod sticks · taking unsupported steps with the ropes 🧡5 children are now walking independently 💜15 children can negotiate an obstacle course with support 💚15 children can negotiate an obstacle course without support 💛12 learning what ‘stop’ means to stay safe (through games and pretend traffic lights). 🧡16 children have learned to listen to instructions and follow them 🩶20 children have learned to share 🩷17 children have learned to take turns 🤍14 children have learned to stand up on their own and to talk in front of their friends 🩵4% of children have each of the above skills emerging at different stages 🖤75% of children have improved their problem-solving skills in new environments 💙85% of children have grown in confidence and have become happy in their sessions. 🧡85% children have made new friends ❤️100% of children have tried new skills which their disability previously stopped them from having a go at 💛100% of children are moving more than they did previously. 💙100% of the children we work with have huge potential “Big change comes from hundreds of tiny steps and they all matter.” -Courtney Carver 🥰🌈❤️ #conductiveeducation #rainbowhub #childrenscharity
