From 18 September to 20 September 2024, the Bavarian Railway Museum organised its annual sugar beet steam. A ‘Plandampf’ on the occasion of the sugar beet harvest. In addition to the beet transport, there was a high volume of trains on the line to Willburgstetten for the local timber processing plant. Heavy goods traffic with the steam locomotives 41 018, 50 2273, 50 4073 and 52 8168. During ‘Plandampf’, steam locomotives haul real freight that is normally hauled by electric or diesel locomotives. The additional costs of these operations are paid by the railway enthusiasts along the line.
