There are two main categories if raspberry cultivar: Summerbearing and Everbearing. Each has a particular way that it needs to be pruned, and with everbearing raspberries, there actually two ways to prune them depending on what kind of results you want. I have everbearing raspberries. Every year, they produce a very weak harvest in early summer, and then a heavy harvest in late October that is always a few weeks too late in the year, and never reaches full maturity. In this video I show how how I'm going to solve this problem with a pruning technique that seems all wrong - but from everything I've read, will have my fall raspberries coming in a little earlier.
