Here's our Varagobalds 2026 St. Baldrick's Foundation shave. We shared the stage with the 6 Is A Serious Number team. Our teams raised the 2nd and 3rd most for our event. Their team captain, Tim Green, and I have been among the top fundraisers for some time now. I know their team has a very personal reason to shave which they speak of, Joe Green, Tim's son. Joe died of a pulmonary embolism caused by undiagnosed myelodysplastic syndrome. Though rare in children, MDS often leads to acute myeloid leukemia, a difficult to treat, and often deadly, blood cancer. I think you can see a lot of passion and enthusiasm for the cause of kids' cancer research on this stage at Helen Fitzgerald's. Our Varagobalds team is 3 generations of Varagonas. This was my 14th year shaving for St. Baldrick's, my son Dylan's 8th, and my dad Buddy's 3rd. As I say in this, I was greatly influenced to do good by experiencing the loss and grief of my brother, Matt, who died from an auto-immune disease at the age of 14. Witnessing the stories of children like Angel Katie Titchenal-Voyles and Super Thomas Versus Leukemia propel me forward to keep doing this, especially while I can grow a decent head of hair and a beard. We raised over $14,600 as a team counting the money raised on the stage in this video. My total was around $11,600 of that, which at the time was tops for the event. Tim has pulled ahead since, and Matt Sanders, also seen in this, isn't far behind still. He's one of the most die hard, consistent advocates and fundraisers for this cause throughout each year. You'll also see me knighting our barber Carla Holloway in this to commemorate her 7 years of service for St. Baldrick's. Thank you and congratulations to her. Thanks to Josh Stump for recording. And thanks again to all that made our fundraisers a success this year! You can donate to my fundraiser here: https://www.stbaldricks.org/participa...
