So when you swipe down from the top of the screen you get quite a few quick settings you're never likely to use. Well with Android 6.0 Marshmallow you can now customise these by long pressing on the cog until it starts spinning. Let go and a message will confirm System UI tuner has been added to your settings. And it will appear right here at the bottom so let's go check it out. System UI Tuner does advertise itself as experimental but as we're adventurous types let's start by showing the embedded battery percentage which will add numbers to the battery meter in the status bar. We've been asking for that for years and now we finally have. Hurrah. Next up is a little bonus I didn't mention earlier. The status screen will let you toggle on or off the permanent statuses. Now quite why you would want to do that since they're pretty important but the choice is there if you fancy it. But let's get to the meat and potatoes of this little guide, the quick settings management screen. As with any management screen simply long press to pick up an icon and drop where you want and the rest of the icons will rearrange. If you never want to see the quick settings drag it to the bin (which is also the same place you can add the icons back). Once you've done shuffling your icons around, exit system UI tuner and the result will immediately take affect on your quick settings screen. If you decide you've been a bit gun ho with your changes you can go back to the System UI Tuner and reset quick settings to default in the top right. If you want to remove System UI tuner completely you can do so from the top level screen or go back to the settings cog and long press it to return everything to how it was before. And that's a quick look at the Android Marshmallow System UI Tuner.
