=If there are any characters you guys want to see, put them in the comments below= Stage: Unique Weapon Acquisition Battle 9 (DLC) • Liao Hua, Lei Tong, Wang Ping (9:47), Huang Zhong (11:10), Zhou Yu and Lu Su (12:16) are super officers in this stage. Weapon 1: • Divine Oracle Scroll (M) 63+10: Induction, Explosive, Flurry, Frenzy, Velocity, Triumph Weapon 2: • God's Decree Scroll (H) 54+10: Induction, Flurry, Frenzy, Velocity, Jubilation, Roar Equip Skills: • Accuracy, Rage Springs, Attack Boost, Mighty Roar Animal: • Red Hare Bodyguard Support Skills: • Signal - Rage & Signal - Energy • Allied Defense 7/7 (x3) - "A large quantity of friendly troops appear at the designated location and defend that position." (0:07) Analysis: • Chen Gong possesses an extremely useful C1(-EX) that is borderline broken. The arrows shoot very far off into the distance, the hit stun is incredibly lengthy and the amount of combo he can sustain with it alone are just a few qualities of why it is so good. His ability to cancel and chain multiple C1 back-to-back for rapid execution is outstanding. • Chen Gong can be even better if he has ally troops around him. He can also use Allied Defense which allows the player to summon sword/archer troops in a designated location. Chen Gong's weapon gimmick enables certain charge attacks to "command" certain types of troops around him. With this gimmick, his physical damage can reach to astronomical heights that no character in the game can achieve. Movesets: • C1 everything as a setup before Chen Gong engages a fight. It pierces through blocks and shield peons and stuns them for an incredibly long duration. C1 also allows him to preemptively build Flurry for higher damage. C1 can be Jump Attack (JA) canceled (0:57) while gap closing towards his enemies. A standard combo for him is C1→JA→C3 with "C1→JA" being repeatable to build Flurry. • Jump Attack (JA) cancel is extremely useful in cancelling his C1. • C1-EX can be used in many different ways; defensively to knockback officers from a range or offensively to KO (groups of) officers safely from a distance (3:35, 5:03, etc.). The damage becomes most effective with Flurry. With a C1 that can chain and sustain combos from dead bodies repeatedly, getting high combo isn't too much of a task for him. • C3 is his most damaging "burst" charge attack to KO officers quickly. With the standard C1→JA→C3, this combo is enough to KO double Defense regular officers (8:47). Under Rage against a super officer, a C1→JA→C3 usually deals around ~80% health and has the potential to one-shot if Flurry is high enough (11:09). The best part about C3 is Chen Gong can get interrupted (or he can cancel it early, but will need to monitor on-screen for proper damage), the C3 animation will still go through since it is his troops are attacking, not him. • True Rage Musou from Chen Gong is very good. Even if the "crowd" isn't dense, his Rage Musou is really good at both keeping bodies and building combos for him to transition into True Rage Musou (12:33). Use a C1 before unleashing Rage Musou to unblock officers. Building back Rage is easy and safe with him as long as he is using C1(-EX) from a distance (avoid Storm Rush). Option(s): • Wen Yang, Zhang He and Dong Zhuo as Bodyguards possess the most usage of Allied Defense. Allied Defense allows the player to summon sword/archer troops at a specific location (9:46). Chen Gong's C1 commands archer troops (10:35) while C3 commands sword troops (10:20). Due to the sheer combo and damage, ally troops can refill his Musou and Rage almost instantaneously (10:35). One thing to be mindful of during visual/screen overloads is, a crowd of enemy troops are programed to be prioritized over ally troops on the screen. As a result, ally troops will start disappearing or be "invisible" (also known as the popping effect), but ally troops can still act only if they show up on the mini-map. Players can manipulate ally troops to be prioritized briefly if they are freshly summoned. "Ambush" (from Guan Yinping, etc. as Battle skill) also summon sword/archer troops with the Ambush mechanics, but are less abundant. • Induction by itself on Weapon 2 will allow Chen Gong to maintain some of his dueling capabilities if Weapon 1 has bad Affinity matchup. However, Aggression is viable over Induction on Weapon 2 since his True Rage Musou is on the weaker side. Unfortunately, none of his Musou are exactly stellar, thus, making Aggression somewhat of a less desirable modifier on him. If he had to pick one, Air Musou is his better all-purpose Musou. • Induction + Explosive does not activate on the troops' attacks, i.e. C1 arrows from archers and C3. This is the reason why his C1 can stun properly and not have Induction + Explosive interrupt the stuns. Despite that, Induction + Explosive still provides crucial damage for his Normal Strings (11:09). === No audio because this was recorded through the features in PS4.
