Kent Smith was always drawn to the magic of film. As a young boy, he would stay up late and immerse himself in the world of storytelling through movies. Despite his passion, Kent was never one to take the easy road. He poured all of his creativity and energy into his work, and it paid off when his first feature film, The Last Passport, won both Best Director and Best Actor at the Solstice Film Festival in Minneapolis. This early success only fueled Kent's fire and he went on to create even more powerful and impactful films. Kent's latest short film, MIKE, has taken the film festival circuit by storm, winning six best film awards and receiving six more nominations. He also directed the comedy short, Little Package, which has been a surprise hit, winning Best Comedy Short and the Audience Award at several film festivals. When he's not working on Hollywood productions like Homeland, Mr. Mercedes, and Outcast, Kent is directing commercials for some of the biggest companies in the world, including Shell, Electrolux, Hooters, Pepsi, Cato Fashions and many more. Despite his busy schedule, Kent never stops pushing himself, always seeking new challenges and opportunities. In addition to his film work, Kent is also one of the hosts of the Adult Beverage Film Podcast, further showcasing his passion for the film industry. He currently has several film projects in various stages of production, including several in the comedy and horror genres, plus a feature-length documentary that he's producing.
