Today I’ll be doing a Sew With Me on Burda 6418 - Style A- a women’s long fitted dress. I didn’t think I’d have enough fabric to do the full dress- but it turns out I did! I’ll walk you through how to pick a pattern size and make adjustments. ** Please let me know if you have a pattern you’d like me to run through! Tools you’ll need: Burda Pattern #6418 https://simplicity.com/burda-style/bu... Fabric - I chose a 100% Cotton from JoAnns- but this pattern calls for either cotton or a blend. Notions: Thread, Interfacing, a 24” Invisible Zipper Steps: STEP 1: Stitch Center Front (1) to Side Front (2) pieces along sides. Stop at slit. Do the same for Center Back (3) and Side Back (4) pieces, stitching all the way to bottom. STEP 2: Sew on Invisible Zipper and continue down Center Back. STEP 3: Lay Front right sides together with Back and stitch at shoulder seams. STEP 4: Lay Back Facings (6) to Front Facing (5) and stitch at shoulder seams. STEP 5: Lay Facings right sides together with neckline edge and stitch. Finish rough edge. STEP 6: Turn Facing to inside and press. Baste at shoulder seams and zipper. STEP 7: Pin Pockets (7) to front and back between markings and stitch. STEP 8: Press Pockets over joining seams. STEP 9: Lay Front right sides together with Back and stitch down sides. Do not stitch across pocket openings, between markings. STEP 10: Press seam allowances open. Press Pockets onto front and stitch pieces together. STEP 11: Lay Front Armhole Facings (8) to Back Armhole Facings (9) with right sides together and stitch shoulder seams and side seams. Pin Facings right side together with armhole edge and stitch. Turn Facing to inside and press. Baste along shoulder and side seams. STEP 12: Fold over allowance on vents/slits, pin and stitch. Fold in hem and pin. Try on before stitching! STEP 13: Show it off! ** Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE to my channel! You can also find me on- Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/CFDesignsBy...
