Connecting Assam | Four-Laning of Kaliabor–Numaligarh Section of NH-715

The Union Cabinet has approved the four-laning of the Kaliabor–Numaligarh section of NH-715 in Assam, covering 86 km with an investment of ₹6,957 crore. Key Features: 34 km elevated viaduct through Kaziranga National Park ensuring minimal human interference with wildlife. Greenfield bypasses at Jakhlabandha (11.5 km) and Bokakhat (9.5 km). Designed in consultation with MoEFCC, National Tiger Conservation Authority, and Wildlife Institute of India. The project will provide direct connectivity between Guwahati, Kaziranga National Park, and Numaligarh, while also strengthening links to Upper Assam, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh.
