Fire in Jhansi Medical College Children's Ward Claims 10 Lives, 16 Injured | Ground Report | NewsX

At least 10 children tragically lost their lives in a devastating fire at the children's ward of Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Sixteen others are in critical condition following the blaze, which reportedly started around 10:45 PM in the NICU due to a suspected short circuit. Around 54 infants were admitted at the time. The Uttar Pradesh government has ordered a multi-level investigation, while PM Modi expressed condolences, calling the incident heartbreaking.
