Support my morning musings: buymeacoffee.com/ciaio Tyler Durden Speaks to a Generation of Forgotten Men. My take on Fight Club and why Tyler Durden remains relevant in 2025. Chuck Palahniuk had himself admitted that he liked the film better than his book. I can't agree with him completely, as I loved the book just as much as the film but I completely get where he's coming from. Fight Club managed to strike a lot of points that were otherwise ignored. The pointlessness of consumerism, the emasculation and loneliness of modern men, the modern white collar slavey. Fake jobs, fake films, fake friendships. Lack of raw, male bonding, lack of raw, true purpose. We're continuing to blindly follow new wellness routines, social media trends, health hacks, and diets. We feel the overwhelming pointlessness of modern life, yet instead of taking action, we decide to minimize our suffering. Tyler was a man of action. He saw through the illusion and chose to do something about it—no matter how extreme. That’s what makes him so dangerous, and so compelling. He didn’t want to cope; he wanted to burn it all down and build something real in the ashes. In a world obsessed with optimization and comfort, Tyler reminds us that maybe discomfort is the only way out. Maybe pain isn’t the enemy—it’s the wake-up call. That’s why his message still hits home. Because deep down, we know he’s not entirely wrong. In this video, I break down why Tyler Durden continues to resonate with millions of men, why Fight Club is more relevant in 2025 than ever before, and how the film speaks to a growing crisis of meaning, masculinity, and modern identity.
