Jordan Parlour, 28, of Seacroft, Leeds, was charged with publishing written material in order to stir up hatred in relation to Facebook posts and comments he made in early August. Parlour had a broken heel and was at home when he wrote the post, telling his friends to “smash [the] f***” out of the nearby hotel, which had 210 occupants, many of whom were asylum seekers and refugees. The hotel was put into lockdown on August 3 and police were later called to protect it.
