Today I was kind of forced to cook… but honestly, it wasn’t a bad thing. If you want to eat, you have to cook. You can’t always expect someone else to do it for you. Moms get tired too, and they deserve rest. Now that we’re older, I’m realizing cooking shouldn’t be something we’re forced into — it’s something we do because it benefits us. Same with cleaning our rooms, creating a peaceful space, and not waiting for someone to tell us what needs to be done. This ended up being a late lunch and supper for everyone, and along the way I learned a simple lesson: doing things for yourself is an act of care — for you and for the people around you.
