It has immense interest in the human race and the Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise, stealing the souls of people and putting them into the bodies of the franchise's characters. X sees humans as disposable puppets it can manipulate and torture for as long as it likes simply because it wields the power to do so. X's signature trait is his interest in playing games. These games often serve as entertainment for X's sadism, being entirely rigged for the monster to win without a successful escape. X does not savor how inexperienced it is at game design. Similar to that of a young child, it is also extremely short-tempered. When something is not played in X's favor, it can often become uncharacteristically impatient or angry. This is best shown in how, when the player takes too long to move to the right, it will often just end up killing them on the spot out of sheer spite. X’s early life is shrouded in mystery. While the broad strokes are understood as a result of the story being rewritten from JC-the-Hyena’s original canon, exactly what has been rewritten is not entirely publicly known. At some point in time, an entity composed solely of VOID energy was born in the gap between dimensions known as the Void, an unseen location said to contain nothing but darkness. This entity would find humanity and grow fascinated with them, deciding to take their souls for its own selfish needs. The entity would then latch onto the Sonic franchise and begin to idolize the character in a twisted way, creating his world based on the original Sonic the Hedgehog videogame as it's gateway from his world to the humans.
