Motorsports has something called the Triple Crown. Win the Monaco Grand Prix, Indianapolis 500, and 24 Hours of Le Mans, and you're in. All of these races have been run almost uninterrupted since 1929. Yet, in the near-century long history, only one driver has completed the trinity, Graham Hill. After winning the 1963 Monaco Grand Prix, 1966 Indianapolis 500, and 1972 24 Hours of Le Mans, Hill staked his spot in the most elite auto racing club. This year, I decided to see if I could visit all three tracks of the Triple Crown in one week. Seven days, three countries on two continents. From pre-race at the Indy 500 in David Land’s backyard, to the streets of Monte Carlo and Le Mans, this was my own challenge to reach an elite club of motorsports fans.
