Mark B. Pochapin, MD, FACG, is the Sholtz-Leeds Professor of Gastroenterology, Director of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Vice-Chair of Clinical Affairs in the Department of Medicine at NYU School of Medicine / NYU Langone Health. Dr. Pochapin is dedicated to the prevention, early detection, and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers. Over the past 20 years, Dr. Pochapin has been a leader in the national effort to increase colorectal cancer screening and promote quality in colonoscopy. He is currently the President of the American College of Gastroenterology and has served in various leadership positions in this institution.
