Renz Penitentiary - Abandoned Since The Great Flood of '93

Renz Women's Penitentiary was a high-security prison farm where inmates would raise chickens and grow produce. The prison opened in 1926 during the great flood of '93, when the Missouri and Mississippi rivers water level increase by a staggering 39 feet, clearing the prisons 32 foot levy around it. Since it's abandonment, the prison was (and possibly still is) used a training ground for highway patrol and SWAT teams, though in my opinion, it doesn't look like it's been used for that in a while. Though it's said that instructors would throw tear gas into a room and recruits would walk through it in gas maks to learn how to stay calm. It's a pretty cool place, and I actually went twice in 2 days. A total of 8 hours of riding. The second time I went solely to get a few additional shots since our trip got cut a little short the first time. Call me crazy, but I think it was worth it.
