THE ANDY WARHOL FACTORY PEOPLE INTERVIEW ARCHIVE_PROMO VIDEO

‘The Andy Warhol Factory People 12 DVD Interview Archive’  Inside Warhol's infamous 60's Silver Factory. A Study in Cultural and Artistic Ecology! Andy Warhol’s aluminum foil-covered Silver Factory became the hotbed of avant-garde creativity in Sixties New York City.  Pop Art, provocative movies, sex, drugs, andThe Velvet Underground. Recalled by those who were there and lived to talkabout it.Warhol’s Silver Factory was a true collective of creative talents, and Andy took full advantage of the environment he created. The Superstars, Factory Frequenters, Friends and Foes were all there, and they are all here in the filmed Interview Archive, offering a detailed, exclusive glimpse into Andy’s LGBTQ world and the 1960s. Sadly, many of them have passed away and others are about to leave us. The Factory People Archive hasbeen purchased by these universities: School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Ottawa, Alberta, Toronto, Yale, Mt.Holyoke, NYU, Tulane, Dartmouth, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Louisville, Duke, USC, UC,Columbia, Indiana, Florida International, Amherst, University of Michigan, MarylandInstitute, Baylor, Illinois, West Virginia, Princeton, Pratt, South Florida,Columbia College, Wyoming, Nebraska, Oregon, Iowa, Chicago, UCSB, SUNY, UnionCollege, Edinburgh, Singapore, Auckland, Zürcher Hochschule,BiblioTecaArtVisive, Geneva, Biblio de l’Art Geneva, U of Geneva, MonashVictoria, U of Sidney, and Melbourne University.      “It would be amazing to teach this as a study in artistic ecology.  Andy couldn't have done what he did without his amazing circle, and the circle makes sense only in the light of his special form of patronage.”-Christopher P. Schiff, Scholar and Performance Artist, Music & Arts Librarian, Bates College The Factory People Interview Archive is based on over 40 hours of filmed interviews that we did for our original three-hour, award-winning international film series “Andy Warhol’s Factory People” which has been licensed to over 400 colleges, universities and institutions world-wide.    Many of the ‘stories’ that were told on-camera could not be included in the television series for reasons of time, subject sensitivity, and broadcast standards. That’s why we are offering the Interview Archive directly and exclusively to our university and museum buyers who have a keen interest in Warhol, 60s era NYC, LGBTQ Studies, American Studies and Art History.Archive Interview ‘stories’ include: Factory Superstar and Artist the late Louis Waldon talks about how easy it is to make a Warhol Painting. Factory Photographer and Gatekeeper the late Billy Name gives us the details on his constant presence in the Factory, documenting everything with his photographs, and his early love affair with Andy. Warhol Biographer Victor Bockris delves into the mysteries of Andy’s mind and fantasies. Playwright and Warhol Confidant Bob Heide re-creates the atmosphere of gay life in NYC in the 50s and 60s, and the subsequent convulsions. ‘Chelsea Girls’ Superstar Mary Woronov rips the lid off working on Warhol films. Factory Frequenter and Photographer, the late Nat Finkelstein unloads on Warhol and debunks the Warhol myth, telling us just why he introduced Valerie Solanis to an unsuspecting Andy. Factory Superstar the late Taylor Mead, America’s first popular underground film star and raconteur, reflects on life on the road filming with Andy. And there are many, many more including the late Allen Midgette, the late Ultra Violet, the late Lee Black Childers, and the late Lou Reed. The Archive contains over 24 hours of material compiled on 12 DVD’s.  ‘The Warhol Factory People Interview Archive’ is perhaps a MUST HAVE for your Archives Collections and Cultural & Artistic Ecology Studies as this academic subject is rising in popularity. Purchase rights include Classroom screening and closed campus streaming of all materials in the Archive.
