Malaysia reiterates stand not to recognise Tatmadaw

We reiterate our stand of not recognising the Myanmar armed forces, the Tatmadaw regime, until a comprehensive solution can be achieved based on the Asean Five Point Consensus (5PC). Even though there are some MPs who have said that 5PC is already a failure, but in the context of 5PC, we need to take a look at what it actually is. The Asean 5PC is a process involving not only negotiations but of putting pressure, together with other Asean countries, on the regime as this issue, in the context of Myanmar, cannot be dealt with alone. Let me inform you that we have held a series of meetings, not just as if we want to confront them, but also on those who resist, whose rights are being denied.
