Beekeeping: Stop Buying Bees Series Pt.8

In this video, We continue to discuss expanding your apiary without buying bees. We bring you along to our bee yard and show you the progress we are making. We are attempting to expand to 32 colonies from 2 in this series. We currently have about 100 colonies that we maintain for honey production and nucs. We want to show the beekeeping community our method of growing and expanding our honeybee colonies without buying bees or queens. This video takes you along while we check the spring splits we made and our queen cell acceptance. We also set up another cell builder and graft and install another cell bar of cells. We let you have a sneak peak at one of the virgin queens and walk you through the process of the next round of queen grafts and splits. We continue to monitor and feed the colonies sugar syrup and pollen supplement.
