Five days in an hour. Footages from Femme's and Wing's days, 1-5 after the chicks hatched. It's a long video. Maybe best seen in several portions. The chikcs grow and develop extremely fast. Also short footages from the other couples around. There are also some clips from the Exons. They are after all pretty close and share the roof with the 'cam gulls'. The magpies seem more and more serious about the nest. We have seen at least three of their chicks nearby. Based on earlier experiences, we expect certain things, and some things we are concerned about. Especially last year was very, very special. A lot of unexpected and unfortunate incidents and conflicts. This year we made a nestpoint for the Exons on the roof, they absolutely wanted to nest inside our garden. It has been really nice, but deep in our minds we were concerned about what would happen when the chicks hatch and they start to move around on the roof. So far it has been so much better than our worst thoughts. They all seem to thrive and there have not been any accidents nor unfortunate incidents. (But we know, of course something can happen in a split second...)
