Welcome to Schony747 trams on Saturday. If you like the video and Schony747 channel content, hit like and the bell for regular weekly train, plane and tram updates. Today the video focuses on recent scenes across the Yarra Trams Melbourne Network that in my opinion you are unlikely to see again - at least in the forseeable future. 1 - Bombardier E Class Testing network wide on other routes. In this scene, the E class is filmed at Airport West and the former Gardiner Railway Station Rail Square. 2 - Siemens Combino Trams on route 96. Combino D2 trams and on the odd occasion the smaller D1 variety run on route 96 from 2004 until 2015. Will the Combino ever appear on route 96 again? Check out the Nicholson St drivers view in a Combino route tram route 96. 3 - Route 11 and 86 trams running in and out of East Preston Tram Depot. The depot still functions as the tram life extension site after closing as an operational depot in 2016. Check out the drivers view from 2011 running into East Preston. 4 - Yellow Citadis C2 Bumblebee Trams. The trams were trams leased from France and delivered in The Yellow Mulhouse Livery in 2008. The 5 trams were repainted into the white PTV livery when the Victorian Government purchased the trams outright from France. 5 - E Class running as a coupled set. A test took place n 2014 to demonstrate that two E class trams could successfully operate with each other once coupled up together. The demonstration test was a success. Whether the trams will run in actual passenger service remains to be seen. 6 - North Fitzroy Tram Depot being used as an operation tram depot. Considering the tracks linking the depot to the tram route 96 mainline have been removed, the depot will now probably remain closed for good. In this scene, City Circle Trams can be seen using the depot as an operational base back in 2011. Have a great weekend and feel free to leave comments - Brenden S.
