In this exciting episode, join us on another adventure straight to the world of Zelda! We're bringing the virtual to reality by recreating the delicious Wildberry Crepes featured in the beloved games Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. Whether you're a seasoned chef or a gaming enthusiast looking to bring a piece of Hyrule to your kitchen, we know you'll dig this recipe. :) Give it a shot! ____________________________ INGREDIENTS FOR THE JAM: 1 lbs of mixed fruit (we used blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries) ¾ cup of granulated sugar 3 tablespoons of lemon juice FOR THE WHIPPED CREAM: 1 cup heavy cream 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar (optional) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract FOR THE TANGHULU RASPBERRY GARNISH: 2 cups granulated sugar 1 cup of water Your reserved raspberries FOR THE CREPES: 1 cup of flour 2 large eggs ½ cup milk ½ cup water ¼ tsp salt 2 tbsp butter, melted INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Begin by making your jam. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, and mash with your hands until most berries are macerated. Transfer to a medium sized pot, and cook on medium-high heat for about 15-20 minutes until your jam has thickened and reduced. Optionally, add a sprig of rosemary during the process. 2. For the whipped cream, simply combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk by hand (or with a mixer) until stiff peaks form. If you are whisking by hand, just be patient, it will thicken! Once formed, transfer to a ziploc bag, as this will act as your piping bag. Refrigerate. 3. For the tanghulu raspberry garnish, don’t be intimidated! In a pot, combine your water and sugar, and bring to a boil. The temperature should reach about 300F, this should take about 10 minutes. 4. Once your sugar has reached 300F, begin coating your reserved raspberries in the sugar, and set aside on parchment paper for them to harden. That’s all there is to it! 5. Finally, we can make our crepes. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, and whisk until smooth and combined. 6. On medium-high heat, butter a pan, and add ¼ cup of your crepe batter at a time, moving the saucepan around to make sure the batter spreads out evenly. Flip after about 2 minutes to flash cook the other side, and that’s it! Set aside. 7. To assemble, spoon some of your jam on half of the crepe, and fold over into a semi-circle. From there, roll the side up. Now you can get your “piping bag” and pip on some of your whipped cream, and top with the tanghulu raspberry garnish. Eat, enjoy, go fight Ganon and save Hyrule. 🙂 _________________________________________ JOIN OUR DISCORD! / discord Socials: FB: Facebook.com/crudeculinary IG: @crude_culinary Editor in Chief: @ciarra_debritto // Ciarra deBritto Creative Director: @mkuipz.jpg // Megan Kuiper B-Camera & Photographer: @naijahlilly // Naijah Ashbaugh Music by Luvbyrd: • legend of zelda: tears of the kingdom ~ ma...
